every 4 years there is an Olympia games. only every 4 years, that makes it so precious to get a medal in the Olympics.
Liu Xiang is an exceptional athlete, in a sports dominated by westerners, Liu was the gold medalist in 2004 Athens Olympics. he already had the injury in 2004. this time his injuries got the better of him, or the fact is that the injury is worsen to the extend that he can't walk anymore.
Liu though hard work means put up with pain, and the ignorance of his coaches and staff had advanced his injury to this stage. even Liu himself wanted to press on, his coaches should check him up, they would have notice his injuries during practice. in Liu's mind, he probably thinking it is customary to ignore the pain because it is what it takes. it may be good time to take his body seriously.
