Does not feel like there is an imminent bear market. But a recession is more imminent due to the degradation of credit in this great nation. So how will it affect the stock market? I don't know. It will be uptrends and downtrends during recession as well.
I think it does not matter. there are still many opportunities out there during economic expansion or recession.
